Canine Cosmuttology prides itself on safety and continuing education in our industry. Gabrielle Hostetter, Owner and Groomer of Canine Cosmuttology, is a Master Groomer Behavior Specialist certified through the Whole Pet Grooming Academy. She is also a Fear Free Certified Professional through Fear Free Pets, AKC S.A.F.E. certified through the AKC, CPR & First Aid certified through First Aid For Pets, a Member of the NDGAA (National Dog Groomers Association of America) and has competed in dog grooming competitions on the east coast.

More Than Just A Haircut.
Canine Cosmuttology stands by our "Fear Free Practices" which are directly derived from Dr. Marty Becker's method. The Fear Free method is about doing what's best for your dog. We want to be sure that your dog is not overwhelmed so that grooming does not become a scary process invoking fear, anxiety, and stress. Fear Free includes thinking about all of the aspects in the environment that might cause your animal to be fearful, anxious, or stressed. We use distraction, watch for body language to gauge communication, and move at a pace at which the dog tells us they are comfortable via their responses. In order to start your first visit with us helping your dog to feel as confident as possible, please allow 15-20 minutes for an initial meet and treat when we arrive.
